- The OP Stack gives the broader Superchain idea a clearer ecosystem story than many L2 tokens have.
- Optimism stays closely tied to Ethereum rather than trying to replace it with a separate L1 thesis.
Cons
- The OP token does not automatically capture all the value created across OP Stack chains.
- Bridge risk, sequencer reliance, and other L2 tradeoffs still matter for everyday users.
- The long-term case depends on continued Superchain adoption, not just short bursts of token interest.
